How long have you lived in Ohio City?
I have lived in Ohio City since 2011. My first residence was on John & Randall while working on the remodel of our current cottage on west 47th street.

        What do you do?
I live a full life! I am the Manager of Employee health & wellness programs at Hyland Software, Inc. in Westlake. I have the privilege of helping to create a work atmosphere and environment for approximately 1,200 rockstar adults every day. In addition to that full-time gig, I am also the proud owner of Harness Cycle - an indoor cycling studio right here in Ohio City! We have been hosting classes in a space on West 25th since October 2013 but our permanent space opened in February 2014. I'm also a smitten new mama and wife to my partner in crime, Andy.

            Why Ohio City?
This neighborhood is anchored in the middle of all that I love about Cleveland - local coffee shops, amazing local food, the West Side Market, Lake Erie views, Great Lakes Brewery, historical homes, urban gardens, and really authentic people.

What is your favorite place in Ohio City?
Our studio - Harness Cycle. Its incredible to connect with a room full of 25 riders pedaling their hearts out to the beat of the music with a little bit of inspiration mixed in. The energy is off the charts.

What is your favorite season in Ohio City?
Winter. Hands down - the homes look like gingerbread houses when they are sprinkled with snow and shining with christmas lights. I love getting cozy in a booth on west 25th with friends and drinking some good craft beers.

                      Best kept Ohio City secret?
Fulton Foods! The craft beer selection and DIY sampler packs rock. A close second is Market at the Fig...the sandwiches are an art form.

Do you have any good Ohio City stories? Interesting facts?
I brag to all my out-of-towners that Cleveland has the largest Urban farm in the country.

What is your favorite stand at the West Side Market?
I like to head to the Juice Garden to get a shot of wheatgrass and a juice to enjoy as I walk the market.

Any good traditions around Ohio City you enjoy?
We love Miracle on 47th street - our block club's holiday party out in front of our community garden.

How are you involved in the community? One of the major drivers for starting Harness Cycle was to tap into the active community here on the near west side. Before we opened the studio, we started a running group on Wednesday nights this past summer. {#runningthebridges}. It was amazing to watch the attendance grow each week as mostly strangers showed up to run through our city together, give each other a fist bump at the finish and then head home feeling refreshed and connected to something bigger. We hope to carry that same sense of community inside the studio.
